Corporate Philanthropy

Making a difference in the Kansas City community we call home.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

At Axcet HR Solutions, we are deeply committed to making a positive impact in the Kansas City community. As an award-winning local business since 1988, we have always believed in giving back and supporting the community that supports us. Our corporate philanthropy efforts reflect our dedication to creating a better, more compassionate Kansas City.

Events build community, and we are proud to sponsor and participate in various activities that bring people together for meaningful causes.

We regularly support KC metro area Chambers of Commerce golf tournaments and specialized events like the Kansas City National Association of Women in Construction Scholarship Golf Tournament. These events provide us with fantastic opportunities to connect with our neighbors, support local initiatives, and foster valuable networking opportunities for small businesses.

Additionally, we sponsor events hosted by the Kansas City Automotive Museum, which celebrates our city's rich automotive heritage through interactive exhibits and engaging events. These activities not only bring the community together but also offer resources that help fortify the future of Kansas City companies.

Our commitment to community engagement and corporate philanthropy extends to supporting significant causes such as Newhouse KC, Kansas City's longest-running domestic violence shelter. We are proud to help support their Imagine a Day Gala, an event dedicated to raising funds to provide safe shelter, support services, and hope for survivors of domestic violence.

By supporting events like these, we help make a meaningful impact in our community, ensuring that vital organizations can continue their essential work.

Here at Axcet HR Solutions, we offer free educational workshops for business owners and managers, covering essential topics such as new laws, medical marijuana, harassment training for managers, workplace safety, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).

Our highly credentialed team of PEO professionals shares their expertise, ensuring participants receive the most accurate and up-to-date information.

When needed, we also bring in the most specialized experts on sensitive and current topics, including employment lawyers, to provide firsthand insights and practical advice.

In addition to these critical topics, our workshops include first aid and CPR training, ergonomic assessments, disaster preparedness planning and active shooter response training.

Beyond the workplace classroom, we extend our educational efforts to the community by giving presentations at local schools, promoting safety and preparedness from an early age.

By opening most of these seminars to the public, we embody corporate philanthropy by empowering local businesses with the knowledge and tools they need to create safer, more inclusive and compliant workplaces.

Leading the way among companies that give back means we believe in giving back to all members of our community, including our furry friends. One of our most recent and hugely successful initiatives, Pill Bottles for Puppies, has seen compassionate citizens and businesses coming together, donating bags and boxes of used prescription pill bottles. These bottles are repurposed to store essential medications for homeless animals at Wayside Waifs, a no-kill animal shelter in Kansas City.

In addition, our team actively participates in pet food, supplies and cash donation drives, including our Dog Days of Summer initiative, benefiting local rescues such as KC Pet Project and The Rescue Project

Our love for our community and the pets that call it home doesn’t stop there. We also answered the call from Spring Hill Clothes Closet to provide veterans and the elderly with pets, in need of assistance, with pet supplies for their furry friends.

Through these efforts, we help ensure that pets in need receive the care and support they deserve.

Our commitment to corporate philanthropy in the Kansas City-area extends to supporting the homeless and veterans in our community. Axcet employees participate in various initiatives, such as:

  • Donating food to Harvesters through an in-office food drive and volunteering on-site to repackage food to be shipped to regional food pantries to nourish our neighbors
  • Organizing winter coats and supplies drives benefiting homeless individuals in Kansas City
  • Wrapping Christmas presents at KidsTLC for children and families with mental and behavioral health challenges
  • Packaging diapers for HappyBottoms to distribute to families in need
  • Volunteering at Veterans Community Project to unpack food donations and organize supplies for veterans

At the heart of our organization is Jerry Diddle, Axcet’s founder and president, who understands the value of corporate philanthropy. He offers paid time off to employees for volunteering in the local Kansas City community.

This commitment to community service and corporate philanthropy is ingrained in our corporate culture, inspiring our team to continuously seek ways to contribute positively.

Join Us in Making a Difference

Axcet HR Solutions is proud to be among the companies that give back to the local community. But we are also strong believers in the power of collaboration and the positive change it can bring to Kansas City.

As such, we would like to thank, not only our employees who we are incredibly proud of, but area business owners, organizational leaders and Kansas City-area residents who have all come together and joined forces to go above and beyond to make a difference.

Our Mission in Action

Choosing a Local v. National PEO (Professional Employer Organization)

It’s time to decide which one is right for your small business – a national or a local PEO. Lately, there’s been a lot of talk about the benefits of partnering with a local PEO like Axcet HR Solutions – so much so, that some national providers have started marketing their satellite sales offices as local … but is that really local? When you partner with one of these national PEOs, and an HR emergency comes up at your small business, you’ll still be forced to call a toll-free customer service number and wait on hold in hopes the national customer service representative can help you. That just doesn’t feel local, does it? A local PEO isn’t managed by a big, corporate entity headquartered in a different state or country, but by people who share their hometown with you and your employees.

"I know you all have been keeping up with the legal and system changes, educating your teams (including me!), and helping our clients in various ways through this chaotic time. I can’t imagine how difficult it would’ve been for us to keep up with all the COVID-19 payroll changes and provisions without Axcet."

"I want to thank you again for so quickly compiling and sending us the payroll reports we needed in order to submit our PPP loan application. We were able to submit our application with the supporting payroll reports as soon as the SBA loan website opened, and our PPP loan has been approved. Your help in this process is very much appreciated!"
